The government is closing down the Independent Commission on Civil Aviation Noise (ICCAN) and move its responsibilities to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). But the CAA is not independent and will become ‘judge and jury’ for its own role of modernising airspace and maximising flights from airports. GALBA has sent a joint letter, signed by airport campaigns across the UK, to the government expressing dismay and calling for changes to the CAA’s duties, powers and funding.
Attached is a joint letter to Robert Courts MP expressing our concerns, signed by GALBA & many other interested parties.
